The Black Pearl, AKA County Confectionery, won a hotly-contested annual Raft Race in St Ives harbour.
The event is organised by, and raises funds for the town’s Pilot Gig Club.
A huge turnout watched the teams, from local businesses and organisations, tackle a course from the Sloop slip to the Arcade steps, on to the lifeboat house slip — where they had to pick up a team mermaid — then across to Smeaton’s lighthouse before returning to the Sloop.
