West Cornwall’s Extinction Rebellion group took to the streets of St Ives again yesterday to highlight the climate emergency.
With some clad in their now familiar red garb, the protest took a route from the Sloop slipway around to Smeaton’s pier.
The town was still busy with holidaymakers, who were enthralled at this unique style of demonstration.
Extinction Rebellion’s message focuses on rising sea levels and carbon emissions, as well as the ongoing fight against plastic use and misuse and the decline of marine species.
The event preceded a talk at the Arts Club later in the day by entrepreneur, disruptor and activist Manda Brookman.
