It’s Feast Day in St Ives today, with activites around town throughout the day, starting at the Guildhall at 9.30am.

At that time, the mayoral procession will leave the Guildhall for Venton Ia Well, at Porthmeor. After a short ceremony there, they will return to St Ia church for 10.30am.
Dancers from St Uny School will be in the procession, and music will be provided by Bagas Porthia.
At 10.30am, the silver ball will be hurled from the wall at the back of the parish church by the mayor. The person holding the ball at noon can take it back to the mayor at the Guildhall and receive a silver coin reward.
While the silver ball is at large, there is an opportunity to attend a coffee morning, organised by the Friends of Edward Hain, at the Western Hotel. There will also be a presentation of pennies to young people at the Guildhall.
The day culminates in the Feast rugby match at St Ives Rugby Club. Competing will be St Ives RFC and Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.
