Plans for the future of St Ives Theatre — home to Kidz R Us — are revealed in a new St Ives Town Deal video.

The regeneration of the theatre is one of nine projects being taken forward for government funding as part of the Town Deal. Upgrades will include a new roof, an extended auditorium, and new café bar and reception area.
As well as saving a historic building, the project will help to develop the existing theatre into a leading tourist attraction for the town, says the St Ives Town Deal board.
The season will be lengthened with more performances, daytime workshops, and outreach programmes for schools. There will also be a focus on providing a facility for touring theatrical companies, improving the visitor experience, and supporting further expansion of theatre opportunities for local children and young people.
