The committee has set up a Go Fund Me page to raise cash for this year’s event. You can make a donation here.
Organiser Jackie Flack said: “St Ives In December is a voluntary group who run Christmas events in St Ives. We think it’s probably more important than ever before to make sure 2022 is full of festive cheer and things to enjoy for both locals and visitors alike.
“We can just about afford to bring in Santa on the lifeboat, parade him around town on 7th December, and Santa’s grotto Saturday 10th, but unable to fundraise as usual the past two years, we need to raise money to make 2022 special with more of our usual events, such as St Ives lantern parade, entertainers, snow on the beach, find Cornish pixies, music. and even snow events. Every little will help and go a long way.”
