The death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has meant some last-minute changes to the programme of the St Ives September Festival, which gets under way today.
Boats in the Bay and the visit of historic fishing lugger Barnabas, scheduled for today (10th September), have been cancelled by St Ives Jumbo Association.
St Ia Church has cancelled its daytime events, with the exception of two lunchtime organ recitals, so people can use the Church to mourn, pray, and sign a book of condolence. But the evening events are going ahead.
