St Ives in December has a new website, with organisers announcing the date when Santa will be arriving to herald the festive season this year.
Yes, it may seem a long way away, but 5th December is the date for families to mark in their diary, when Santa steps off the St Ives Lifeboat, a now long-running tradition.
From there, he will parade through town to Royal Square, where the official Christmas lights switch-on will take place.
This year, this will be the start of a ‘Wicked’ weekend, with events themed around good and evil, pink and green, and Wicked characters Glinda and Elphaba.
