Belgrave St Ives is playing host to three Christmas exhibitions of contemporary painters, modern painters, and a show of artists’ original cards.
White Winter by Jessica Cooper
The contemporary painters are Jessica Cooper, Henrietta Dubrey, Liz Hough, Jason Lilley, and Alice Mumford. They are five of the most experienced and accomplished painters working in a Cornish context. The gallery has maintained a long and creatively rewarding relationship with them for many years.
St Ives Harbour All Round, by Bryan Pearce
The modern artists, with original prints featured, are Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Terry Frost, Roger Hilton, Bryan Pearce, and William Scott. The quintet have had their work shown regularly at the gallery since it opened in 1998.
The cards – mostly Christmas cards – are by 50 different artists, including Eileen Agar, John Bellany, Sven Berlin, Michael Canney, John Copnall, Lucian Freud, Terry Frost, Bert Irvin, Laura Knight, Conroy Maddox, Joan Miro, Denis Mitchell, Jack Pender, Brian Rice, and John Wells.
