Twenty-four pieces have been added online, supporting the current exhibition of Clive Owen’s work at the Leach Pottery.
This year marks Clive’s 80th birthday, and the exhibition is a celebration of his slip-decorated earthenware pots.
His traditional country-style pots are decorated with a sparse but fluid and vigorous trailing of the slip, in free-flowing abstract or stylised patterns, incorporating combing and sgraffito.
Slips used on this range of domestic ware feature honey yellows, rich browns, and soft creams, with occasional flashes of vivid green.
Both the physical and online exhibitions of Clive’s work run until 30th December.
