St Ives Town Council is looking at options for introducing a shared electric car club and potentially an e-bike scheme for the town. But first it wants to gauge demand.
An electric car and bike club is designed to help promote greener travel and reduce the need for private car ownership in the parish.
The car club would have electric cars bookable from as little as half an hour from locations around town. Electric bikes could also be available to hire.
The cars and bikes will support the council’s Climate Emergency Action Plan by helping tackle St Ives’ congestion, parking and pollution problems, while providing affordable access to zero emission vehicles for all.
Those interested are invited to fill out a survey, which can be found here. Surveys need to be completed by 14th April.
