The Hain Line, in Tregenna Place, St Ives, has been named in a list of 10 Wetherspoon pubs which have just been placed on the market.
The building has been used as licensed premises before the arrival of Wetherspoon, most recently as the Isobar nightclub.
It’s popular with drinkers, particularly as it offers beverages at prices considerably lower than most other venues in town.
“These substantial and well invested pubs are likely to appeal to a broad range of potential buyers,” said Paul Breen, director at agent Savills.
JD Wetherspoon chairman Tim Martin is on record as saying that he believes the right size for the company these days is 1,000 pubs. The current estate comprises 830.
