A crowdfunder to help re-establish a thriving market garden in west Cornwall has eight days left to run.

Mark Floyd is interviewed by St Ives Local’s Liz Norbury at St Ives Farmers’ Market
Mark Floyd is the co-ordinator of St Ives Farmers’ Market, held in the Island Centre every Monday. And he is behind the project to get the POM Market Garden up and running on The Lizard.
It will supply the POM shop and deli in Porthleven with mindfully and agroecologically-produced fruit, vegetables, flowers (of the edible variety), and herbs. It will grow produce that can be challenging to source locally. And some will, of course, end up at the farmer’s market, too.
“Our aim is to connect people to the land and to support a culture of enjoying space and food together,” said Mark. “We are excited to invite local groups to visit and utilise the space for garden therapy and for families to pick and taste beautiful produce.”
The Crowdfunder target is £15,000, and the current total is over £10,000. Visit the crowdfunding page to find out more.
