Police are seeking witnesses following a report of a hate crime in Hayle which has only just been reported, although it allegedly occurred in August.
It has been reported that a woman shopping in Asda Hayle was subjected to racial abuse at the self-service checkout area in the presence of other customers. This is aid to have taken place in the early evening on Tuesday, 18th August.
Officers investigating the incident are seeking to trace witnesses, in particular a customer using the tills next to the victim at the time.
