conditions. The wind was due to pick up in the late afternoon.

Mike Cook and Jane Billing, in the pier head, therefore had a short inshore

Race one started with two boats the wrong side of the start line before the starting signal. There were several capsizes of the two RS 400 dinghies sailed by Rob Lawrence and Leanne Herbert, also Mark Paxton and Alan Peck, who took a long time recovering due to their spinnaker being caught up in the forestay.

Jonathan Thomas (RS Vareo) took the lead and held it to the finish line.

Result: 1, Jonathan Thomas; 2, Mark Paxton; 3, Rob Lawrence.

Everybody had a good start in race two, and though Mark and Alan sailed well in the conditions, it was Jonathan who once again came in first.

Result: 1, Johnathan Thomas; 2, Mark Paxton; 3, Rob Lawrence

Leanne Herbert was presented with a St Ives Sailing Club t-shirt for her support of the club throughout the season, and she was wished the very best in her new venture.
