An inaugural Secret Photo Show is to be hosted at Harbour View House on 5th and 6th April, raising funds for St Ives Archive.

Secret Photo Show

The show is a two-day art sale which will raise money for the Archive by selling contemporary photographs of St Ives by local photographers.

As the Archive has an extensive collection of 35,000 images, the show will complement the photographic history of the town.

The event will work in a similar way to the Spot the Artist event, put on annually by St Ives Rotary Club. The photographs will be on display to the public with the photographers’ names kept a secret until the works are purchased.

On 5th April, the public will note down their favourite photos, not knowing who took them (each will be numbered and signed on the back). The next day, the photos will be available for sale on a first come, first served basis.

All photos will be priced at £50. Those who would like to buy more than one photo will be asked to re-queue so that others have a chance of purchasing their favourite.

The show will be open at Harbour View House from 11am-4pm on both days.
