Cornwall Council pay and display car parks will be free to use this Saturday, 6th December, also known as Small Business Saturday.
And the owners of the Laundry car park, on The Stennack, have also confirmed that parking there will be free, not only on Saturday, but also tomorrow (Friday) from 5pm as Santa arrives for the start of the Christmas season.
Small Business Saturday is a big deal for those running their own companies. And the free parking makes this Saturday the ideal time to drop into St Ives and Hayle to get your Christmas shopping done.
“People who choose to run their own businesses are people who have the courage to take a chance,” said St Ives Local advertising manager Nicole Tesseyman.
“Often, we don’t see the hours of hard work they put in behind the scenes, constantly coming up with new ideas.
“These passionate and hard-working people just need us to purchase their products and services, instead of always buying from chain stores and supermarkets, or shopping online.”
