The St Ives Shanty Shout is returning, with more than 30 ensembles lined up to perform around town on the weekend of 21st and 22nd November.

St Ives-based Rumbellion, among this year’s Shanty Shout performers
The event was established in 2016 by the Bamaluz Bootleggers. The idea was to invite frendly groups to sing with them over a weekend to raise money for a good cause.
The Bootleggers have since disbanded, but the Shout has gone from strength to strength.
These days it is organised with, and raises money for, the Edward Hain Centre, to support health and wellbeing activites and treatments in St Ives.
The hosting venues this year are:
- Bier Huis Grand Cafe
- Harbour View House
- The Lifeboat Inn
- Pedn Olva,
- The Pilchard Press
- Queens Hotel
- Sea of Coffee
- Tretho Lounge and
- Western Hotel
On Friday evening, these will be joined by the Rum and Crab Shack, and on Saturday The Golden Lion.
