Hayle Amateur Dramatics Society (HADS)
At Hayle Day Centre, 7.30pm-9.30pm. New members are welcome, either on stage or backstage. Come along to a rehearsal, or for more information phone Ken or Lin on 07733 156530. Sessions are £2 a week for adults and £1 a week for children. The first week is free.


St Ives Jazz Club
At the Western Hotel, St Ives, 7.30pm. Monthly guest nights, otherwise it’s Big Kettle Jazz with local musicians every Tuesday. More details on the club Facebook page.


Global Wednesdays
8.30pm-11pm in the Kettle ‘n’ Wink bar of the Western Hotel, St Ives. Welcoming all musical performers, both local and visiting, to a weekly collaborative and inclusive evening of jams and performances to celebrate music from near and far. Hosted by Global Jamming.

One-off events

5th November: Fireworks display on Porthminster Beach, from 5.30pm. With barbecue and drinks. Organised for free by St Ives Town Football Club, who will be collecting donations.

8th November: Candlelit Concert at St Ives Parish Church, 7.30pm. Will Keating and John Dowling play Cornish folk with a hint of bluegrass. Book tickets here.

25th and 26th November: St Ives Shanty Shout. More details to follow.

5th December: Royal Naval Association concert at the Royal British Legion, Higher Stennack, St Ives, 7pm.

5th December: St Ives Old Cornwall Society presents A Christmas Miscellany, with Bert Biscoe and Pol Hodge, at Carbis Bay Memorial Hall, 7.15pm. Brian Steven and Hugh Trevarthen will tell Cornish dialect stories, and Frank Stevens, at the piano, will lead community carol singing. Annual membership £10, or £2 per meeting for casual attendance.

8th-11th December: Miracle Theatre presents Sleeping Beauty at The Guildhall, St Ives, various times. A re-imagining of the classic fairy tale following the adventures of a princess with insomnia when a resentful fairy’s wicked spell goes horribly wrong. For ages seven and over. 11th December: Phil and Friends at St Ives Theatre, 7pm. Featuring singing, comedy, cabaret, dancing, and carols – and a buffet -this fun-packed festive extravaganza is designed to appeal to all ages, and get everyone in the mood for Christmas. Book here.

16th December: St Ives Community Choir at Towednack Church, 7pm.

17th December: Dave Mynne, A Christmas Carol at The Guildall, St Ives, 7.30pm. A mesmerising one-man performance of Charles Dickens’ timeless, transformative story. Suitable for ages eight and over. Details and tickets here.

20th December: St Ives Community Choir at Una, Carbis Bay, 7pm.
