A public update event on the latest details of the St Ives transport strategy will be held at the town’s library on Wednesday, 11th September, between 2pm and 7pm.

The transport initiative is one of nine projects funded by the St Ives Town Deal programme. There will be news of various elements of the low-carbon strategy and the timetable for delivery.
There are proposals aimed at reducing traffic congestion and parking demand in the town centre, enhancing public transport options and accessibility, improving air quality and health outcomes for residents and visitors, and supporting local businesses.
During the past few months discussions have taken place with stakeholders, community groups, and individuals to shape the proposals contained with the strategy. A public meeting was held at the Library in April. These have resulted in changes being made to some of the projects.
Members of the Low Carbon Transport Strategy team, Cornwall Council’s highways department, and representatives of the St Ives Town Deal Board and St Ives Town Council will also be on hand to answer any questions.
