A fisherman was assisted on board St Ives’ all-weather lifeboat, having sustained an injured leg at sea.

Due to a large swell running, it was safer for the lifeboat to accompany the fishing vessel to the shelter of St Ives Bay to safely transfer the casualty to the lifeboat.
The casualty was assessed by a medic on board and returned to shore on the lifeboat for onward transfer to hospital. The St Ives Cliff Rescue team also attended.
